I ordered electronics from China. The manual is in Chinese. Is there a way to scan the manual and then translate it in another program?

First you will need to use an OCR software application which scans a book page by page and converts it to a document format. For this type of job I highly recommend ABBYY FineReader because of its large support regarding languages. The application is easy to use and it requires a scanner so you will be able to scan the pages from the book.

Once you can scan it, and save it to a document you like you can then translate it with Google or any free translation service or software available, for example, the ABBYY program provides translation services. Anyway, if you fail, you can always check the built-in tutorials teaching you how to properly scan, correct and translate.
