what player will open a .AV file?

An .AV file is a Final Draft AV Document file. To open this kind of file extension, all you need is a program like Final Draft AV.

I know that AC3 Tools Pro, and if I remember well is free, has as native file extensions av file extension included. So, you may try this program. Also you may find a demo version of Final Draft AV, on the official page: http://demo.finaldraft.com/download/ . Hope this answer helps you.
