The Android operating system features portable HOTSPOT functionality. You can use the Internet from your network to broadcast it over the WiFI or USB (using a cable).

In order to do this, please navigate to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Tethering & portable hotspot and enable Portable WiFi Hotspot. Under this option there is another one (Portable WiFi hotspot settings) where you can configure some settings related to security (encryption mode, password, SSID, etc).

I also have the Warp and have failed to establish a hotspot through it. I succeeded on two or three occasions to tether it to a Windows 7 netbook via usb, but it was more often a miss than a hit. That was using Klink. Could it be that Boost disabled wifi network setup in their installation of Android os? I wonder if rooting would make this setting show up? I'd really love to be able to use a little more of the throughput allowance that has recently been limited by my dear Carrier. Yes, apparently they started throttling.
References please, Andrew Constandache or anyone else?

with the PdaNet+ app u can tether through USB and it works great but always fails if u try to use the hotspot option, but if u use it for ur PC (USB) like me then PdaNet+ is what u need

I tether my warp all the time. You need to use pdanet 3.0 on your computer and it makes no difference what version you have on your phone. Also use this as the pass so it is consistent

I have an ZTE Warp smart phone, via Boost Mobile. I have had no luck finding a wifi hotspot app that will work with this cell phone. I do have an app called "Easy Tether" that does work via the usb cable to get me an internet connection. It is my backup ISP. But I can only use it on 1 computer at a time. And if a voice call comes in the internet connection drops. I am using it right now because the primary DSL ISP via Frontier Communications is down. There is no hard wire land line or DSL ISP in my apt complex right now because a dui ran over the main junction box and tore up the cables.

To those ZTE Warp users who are unable to use Mobile hotspot.
Earlier versions of Warp firmware did not have NFC or Mobile Hotspot capabilities enabled. Make sure that your phone has the latest firmware update. I updated mine on 11/25/14 and these two items were included in the update.
