How do I disable the Gateway Touchportal

I want to disable the Gateway Touchportal all together, with the option to re-enable it when I'd like. How do I do this? Is there an option somewhere that simply disables it?

Yes.

You can disable it using a simple tool found in your Windows system. In order to do that please follow these simple steps:

1. Click the Start button and click on RUN
2. Type CMD and press Enter.
3. Type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
4. Navigate to Services tab and locate TouchPortal item which is produced by Acer Corp.
5. Disable that service and perform a restart of your computer.

Next time when you start your computer the service will not run anymore. To enable it, follow the same steps and use Enable instead of Disable.
