Ulead GIF Animator 5 has been developed all the way back in 2001 and Corel has discontinued the application a very long time ago, so officially, it's not compatible with Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10. However, on forums, some people have written that they were able to use the application on Windows 10 while others say they couldn't and no one could pinpoint exactly why it works for some and not for others.
I installed the tool on my Windows 10 PC and the process worked without any problems, but after that, the application simply wouldn't run. It appeared in the process list as running, but nothing happened. Furthermore, I've even tried running it in compatibility mode with Windows XP or older and I still couldn't get it to work.
The only thing left to try (other than looking for a different program like Easy GIF Animator) is to set up a virtual machine with XP on it, then to run Ulead GIF Animator using that virtual machine. However, that will take a bit of effort and I can't guarantee that it will work.
