MyDrive ConnectMyDrive Connect ›  Unable to connect to TomTom website.

I have a TomTom Go 51 and have just tried to connect the laptop to MyDrive Connect on the TomTom website to update it. It says there's no Internet connection whereas there obviously is. How come this version is worse than the version of 8 years ago?

I've checked the software and the website and it appears that you can still download and install it. If you can't connect to their servers, then it means it's a problem on your side since the app is working just fine. I suspect this issue is directly related to the Windows Firewall or with the Internet Security that's installed on your PC.

I recommend turning them off or add the TomTom MyConnect to the firewall to allow it to connect to the Internet servers.

Great thanks... have managed to download by physically connecting laptop to wifi via ethernet link.... but will perhaps turn off the firewall next time I have to do an update.
