Cloud compatibility for SMS Enabler.

Can this app work fluently with cloud based databases? I would like to build an application in the cloud using this product. Where can I get a trial version to test whether this product is a suitable fit?

Based on the description found on the main website, SMS Enabler is capable of communicating with databases installed locally or remotely. In fact, these are the databases it officially supports:
