I don't think you have the possibility to activate Compaq Connections anymore since it's a very old application, that doesn't benefit from Support. The official developer is listed as being HP, but I didn't find anything on their website.
You are trying to use an old application that isn't supported anymore, therefore I doubt it's even possible to run it or activate it.
