My mothher's work computer has Endpoint Encryption for Files and Folders v3.0.0. I've typed a document up on it, and whenever I try to put it on a flash drive and open it up, and I get us a message telling me that it is encrypted, instead of a real document.

How do I get the file to properly open on the second computer?

If there's no application appearing when you double click the file while the USB flashdrive is plugged to another computer, then it means that you have to unlock/decrypt the file on the computer where it was encrypted in the first place. Most applications provide you the complementary tool to decrypt the files on the go, but it appears McAfee doesn't have such option. Do not attempt to open the file in another way except the official way because you might render it unusable.
