Errors in the installation of Adobe Reader XI.

I am completely mad with my Adobe Reader XI on my stationary computer (Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit).

I had trouble with a PDF file (does not match and that). I uninstalled Adobe Reader, and re-installed from the Adobe website. The installation runs seemingly normal through, but Adobe Reader goes in and takes over all programs. Although the application icons on the desktop will be changed to the Adobe logo.
No matter what I try to go to programs, then comes the Adobe side up, and I get the message that this is not an adobe file which then can not be opened by Adobe Reader.
It is obviously not sustainable unable to read such. Digital post requires the Adobe Reader. It is also not viable to install Adobe Reader each time coming and then subsequently uninstall again to utilize other programs. Is it a problem you have a solution for?

There has been an error on your computer and now the file associations are all messed up. It means that all the files on your computer are configured to open with Adobe Reader. Access Google Search results to see how to restore the file association. After this process, re-install Adobe Reader, right click a PDF file and select Open With. Select Adobe Reader from the list then tick the only option available on the bottom of the window and everything should restore to normal.
