I have files transferred through MTP that I can't view. My phone says "No file viewer". What do I need to view the files?

The MTP or Media Transfer Protocol is an extension to the PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol). This allows you to transfer content from portable devices, but you will have to see what file types you want to see. To do this, right click a file that gives you error and then choose Properties. Check the EXTENSION and then paste it on Google. After this process you will have the possibility to see what applications you have to install in order to see the image.
